The history of KP began to be written 50 years ago. Originally, KP emerged in response to the demand for carpeting driven at the time by the residential and commercial market. As demand in the residential market decreased and the use of carpets in homes declined, its founder, Jerónimo Martínez Tabernero, redirected the course of the business and transformed the family business-workshop into a pioneering company in Spain and Europe by opening a new market: that of made-to-measure carpets. With the knowledge of the product and the experience acquired in the carpet market, these rolls began to be cut to the size requested by the customer and to be finished with different finishes, thus turning a carpet roll into customized carpets.
Thanks to this original idea and the desire and need to continue with the family business, KP bet on the search for a trendy product far from stereotypes and the classic carpet image. The fruit of this capacity of effort and adaptation, originated over time a growth of the workshop and managed to position itself in what it is today, a brand recognized in the sector for having a quality product and trend that always tries to bring something new and different, values for which it wants to continue to be recognized.
A lot has changed since KP was founded. One of the most impactful: The digital age. With the digital transformation, many areas of KP have been modernized, especially our management, warehousing and distribution systems. However, the production process of this small workshop remains faithful to the ways of doing of its beginnings, almost 50 years ago, and that is how we believe it should continue.
We proudly define ourselves as craftsmen. Our main market is custom carpets and rugs. In custom carpets, in addition to adjusting to the size and shape you need, KP gives you the choice between different fibers and different colors, with the option of finishing the carpet with a multitude of finishes. Our customers receive a fully customized carpet adapted to their needs or tastes.
Despite the years, in addition to maintaining artisanal manufacturing procedures that otherwise would not give the results we seek, we always try to be faithful to our path and not deviate from the course that brought us here, so we insist on:
